Our finca “Jardin de la Luz” is located in Rionegro, one hour’s drive from Medellin. Embedded in the beautiful countryside, this finca offers the children and youths who are under our care a place, where they can live together, learn and relax. The children and adolescents visit our finca in peer groups and are accompanied and cared for by our educators. This enables them to get away from the crowdedness of their living quarters and enjoy games, sports, discussions and group activities in a healthy environment and also to receive a balanced diet.

Living together with comrades, joint activities, cooking and housekeeping, helping on the farm, handling small animals, the obstacle course in our adventure park or singing around a camp fire, not only provide unforgettable moments but are also important for the healthy physical and mental development of the children and adolescents. These activities also expand their social skills, as well as their personal sense of responsibility. A stay at our finca is the only possibility for most of them to get out of their neighbourhoods and get to know and experience nature.
