We have been operating job training centers for youths from economically and socially weak backgrounds in neighbourhoods such as Robledo and Antioquia since 1994. The following trades and professions are offered:

• Printer
• Electrician
• Graphic designer
• Motorbike mechanic
• Secretary
• Computer technician
• Sewing machine technician
• Textile worker

The training courses are tailored to the needs of the local market. They are compact and practically oriented. Due to a well established network of contacts in the industry, the girls and boys can complete their practical training and subsequently be placed in jobs, or start their own small businesses.

During their entire training the apprentices use the infrastructure of the job training center such as canteen, library and sports grounds. They also receive comprehensive psycho-social support. Providing these young people with professional training and developing their social skills presents them with meaningful prospects for life.
