Many of the children we care for suffer from undernourishment or malnutrition. This not only impedes their healthy development but also their ability to concentrate and learn. We try to counteract this situation with our nutrition program. This program comprises providing the children school snacks. Children who are especially at risk receive milk that has been enriched with vitamins. In addition, we monitor the children’s weight and health on a regular basis. We also place great emphasis on promoting the best possible nutrition within the family: our nutritionists deal with all issues relating to a healthy and affordable diet, cooperating closely with the mothers in the neighbourhood with the aim of achieving a sustainable improvement.
