It is one of the principles of our foundation to work in a limited geographical area in order to provide comprehensive help with long-term effects. Initially we only concentrated on the disadvantaged neighbourhood of “La Iguana” which has since developed into a more comfortable and safer place to live. For some time now, our work has been extended to a second underprivileged neighbourhood called “El Limonar” which is marked by poverty and need, high unemployment, criminality and violence. Here too we were successful in winning the trust of the children and youths and motivating them to participate in our programs.

Due to high unemployment the practical training of the youths and the transition into working life is especially important. We, therefore, established job training centers in the “Robledo” and “Antioquia” neighbourhoods where different trades can be learned.
